This totally elevated my cooking game!

I had never really known anything about ghee outside the context of Indian cuisine, so I never even thought about using it in my own cooking. I'm so glad I did end up trying it because it is such a game changer.

Basically everything tastes better cooked in butter, right? Even better if it's lightly browned butter, because the Maillard reaction makes everything better. But it's actually hard to cook with butter since it has such a low smoke point, and burnt or scorched butter does NOT make anything taste better. So the very high smoke point of ghee gives the best of both worlds because you can actually cook with it at high heat.

Just off the top of my head, I use it to cook pancakes, sear meat, make grilled sandwiches, saute vegetables, cook down aromatics for sauces and soups, and even toast hamburger and hot dog buns. I've gotten the jumbo sized jar from Nick before and managed to use it up in like a month. It's just great.

It's also a great feeling getting it from a local business, especially a super small, personal business. As a POC, I really appreciate how respectfully Nick speaks on the cultural origins of the product and how transparent he is about his own story of getting into using it and then making it.

It's awesome. Just get it and try it out. I have garlic in ghee confit on my agenda next!

Best Ghee ever!

By far my favorite! As a carnivore, I eat a lot of ghee. The browned butter is delicious, especially in my coffee with heavy cream.
